Rev. Kay Welcome Letter
Dear members and friends of the Suffern United Methodist Church:
Greetings in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
I am delighted to be called and to serve as your Pastor. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for accepting me as part of your church family. Rest assured, my family and I are looking forward to joyous and fruitful ministry. Uniting with the mission of Christ, we will learn to form a relationship that will enable us to be open to where God wants to lead us.
While we have certainly met many of you, there may be others we have not met previously, yet we are looking forward to becoming acquainted with you and your families and friends within this community. Suffern UMC is not here by “accident”, but no doubt, it was a divine idea from the heart of God, and carried out through willing and obedient servants such as you.
While God certainly knows the past, isn’t it assuring that God also knows the future of this church? With this kind of knowledge, we can rest in knowing that God knows the way we should take and will be there to lead and guide us every step of the way. Heaven is our goal, yet there is still a great mission God has called us to while here on this earth, in this area of Suffern, and that is to be a people who share the “Good News” (Gospel) in as many ways as possible!
I look forward to learning more about you and hearing the stories of what is happening in your church and in your lives. My prayer is that we will all continue to grow in faith, love, and understanding of God and one another.
Blessings in Christ,
Rev. Kay Dubuisson
